Buoyed by his front-page story on the party, shy reporter Lionel begins to come out of his shell and embrace his true identity.
Three days after leading the black students to crash the Dear Black People party by Pastiche, Lionel publishes an article on the incident for the school newspaper. Students conversed about the article and the events prior. Among them was Troy Fairbanks, whom invites Lionel to join them at their table for the afternoon.
Lionel attends the theatre kids' party, texting Silvio that he had arrived.
